Steve Morgan

Steve Morgan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the cybersecurity industry. Steve is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Cybercrime Magazine since 2018, responsible for all editorial and publishing activities. Previously, they held the same position at Cybersecurity Ventures from 2014 to present, where they became a trusted source for cybersecurity facts and figures. In 1999, they founded PeopleComm, Inc., a tech industry publisher focused on cybercrime research and the cybersecurity market, where they currently serve as President and CEO. Prior to that, they had a one-year contract as SVP at e-Security, Inc., assisting with business formation and fundraising. Steve also worked at McAfee from 1995 to 1999 in various roles, including Director and VP, and was involved in sales, product, and professional services. Steve co-founded LAN Associates in 1986, a network integrator, and held the position of Co-Founder and CTO until 1995. Steve's work experience began in 1982 as a Camp Counselor and Basketball Instructor at Kutsher's Sports Academy. Before entering the cybersecurity field, they worked as a Field Service Technician at Control Data Corporation in 1983 and as a Computer Network Specialist at ComputerLand New York from 1984 to 1985.

Steve Morgan received their High School Diploma from Cardozo High School in Bayside, N.Y. from 1979 to 1982. Following that, they attended Control Data Institute in Garden City, N.Y. from 1982 to 1983 and obtained a Certificate in Digital Electronics & Computer Technology in the field of Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology.
