Julie Peterson

Julie Peterson has been working in the technology industry since 1995. Julie began their career as a Senior Editor at IDC, where they trained non-technical professionals to navigate an XML-based publishing system and coached new analysts on writing and publishing research papers. Julie then moved to IBM in 2000, where they worked as an Instructional Designer, designing and delivering technical training to clients and professional services for IBM's WebSphere Business Integration and Business Process Reengineering product suites. In 2016, they joined MapR Technologies as a Content Marketing Manager, creating B2B marketing content to drive demand generation and build brand awareness for an AI and analytics software company. Julie then became a Content Marketing Manager and Senior Product Marketing Manager at WhiteSource in 2020. Currently, they are a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Cycode.

Julie Peterson has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master's degree from the University of York, a Master of Education with a focus in Instructional Design from UMass Boston, and an MFA-level Creative Writing/Novel Revision Program from Grub Street. Julie also has certifications in Instructional Design from WorkRamp obtained in May 2022, and PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute obtained in October 2021.
