Dr. Kaustav Mittra holds a PhD. from the Indian Association for Cultivation of Science, where he studied the mechanism of oxygen reduction by iron porphyrins. He then relocated to the United States in 2016 where he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at University of California, Irvine. In his research career so far, he has acquired expertise in inorganic synthesis, protein expression & purification, and various spectroscopic and analytical techniques. He has more than 20 publications in prestigious international peer reviewed journals and was awarded the Barbara K. Burgess fellowship for excellence in postdoctoral research in 2019 by University of California, Irvine. At CyGenica, he is involved in preparing protein-drug conjugates for safe and targeted delivery.
