Kiumars Jalali

Kiumars Jalali is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in vehicle dynamics, controls, and autonomous systems. Currently serving as the Senior Manager and Head of the Behavior Team at Cyngn since November 2022, Kiumars has previously held significant roles at Rivian, Nuro, Apple, and FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, focusing on controls software, vehicle dynamics, and functional safety. Kiumars has a strong background in algorithm development for platooning and autonomous vehicle control, as well as hybrid and electric vehicle control strategies. Kiumars' academic credentials include a PhD in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Waterloo, with a dissertation on stability control for electric vehicles. Kiumars has also contributed to aerospace projects with MDA Space Missions and completed a master's thesis at Dr.-Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG.
