Owen C. Liou

Owen C. Liou has extensive work experience in quality assurance and program management. Owen C. currently holds the position of Head of Quality Assurance at Cyngn since August 2021. Previously, they worked as a Mobile App Deployment Manager at Abbott from October 2020 to August 2021. From 2017 to 2020, Owen served as the Head of SW Quality Assurance & Release at Cyngn, responsible for driving the company's quality function and strategy across various products. Before that, they were the Head of QA/Technical Program Manager at NAUTO from April 2016 to October 2017. Additionally, Owen held positions such as Director of Quality Assurance at Magnetic from September 2014 to April 2016, Director of SQA/Technical Program Manager at ERN Global from August 2013 to September 2014, and Technical QA Director at RingCentral from April 2012 to August 2013. Owen C. started their career as a Director of SQA at White Sky Inc. from August 2008 to April 2012 and also worked at Webroot Software Inc. and Check Point in project management roles.

Owen C. Liou has a diverse education history. In 1993, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Charter University, where they studied from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they attended San Jose State University from 1992 to 1993, where they focused on Management Information Systems (MIS) and Computer Science. Starting in 1989, Owen pursued their education at De Anza College, specializing in Computer, Information Sciences, and Support Services, until 1992.

In 2006, Owen pursued higher education at Canterbury University, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management from 2006 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Owen has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These certifications include General Industry Certification from OSHAcademy Safety and Health Training in May 2019, a Big Data certification from the University of California, San Diego in May 2017, and a Data Science certification from Johns Hopkins University School of Education in March 2017.

Furthermore, Owen holds certifications in Project Management. Owen C. achieved Master Project Manager certification from the AAPM American Academy of Project Management in December 2010, as well as a Project and Program Management certification from UC Santa Cruz Extension in the same month and year. Additionally, they became certified as an Expert Scrum Master (ESMC) by the Scrum Alliance in August 2009.

Owen's diverse range of certifications also includes a Certified Pharmacy Technician certification from Penn Foster in September 2010 and an Auto Repair Technician certification from Penn Foster in October 2007.

Lastly, Owen obtained a Certified Test Suite 6.0 Interactive certification from Mercury Interactive in September 1998.
