Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role will focus on supporting day-to-day accounting functions and helping ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations, contributing to the seamless and efficient operation of our accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to gain exposure to SaaS industry accounting and grow within a dynamic, global environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and ensuring timely completion of financial statements.
  • Assist with revenue recognition for SaaS transactions, in accordance with US GAAP guidelines, including the deferral and amortization of revenue.
  • Cash management responsibilities to ensure all cash accounts are reconciled and receipts and disbursement are accurately posted in the general ledger.
  • Record routine entries, such as accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed asset depreciation, and other general ledger adjustments.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and account reconciliations, ensuring proper elimination of entries for consolidated reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to support accurate financial reporting and assist with audit readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for reconciliations and other accounting processes, ensuring SOX compliance where applicable.
  • Assist with customer invoicing, collections, and vendor payment processing, collaborating with the team to ensure timely handling of AR and AP functions..
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Assist with recording payroll and benefits-related expenses.
  • Provide support during annual audits and other compliance reviews by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records to facilitate timely and accurate financial compliance reporting.
  • Recommend best practices and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
  • Participate in finance projects as needed, bringing a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong foundation in general accounting principles and processes.

  • Proficiency in ERP accounting software (NetSuite experience a plus).

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition principles.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment while also being able to visit the office at least weekly to gather mail delivered to the office in Plano, Texas.
