Iyad Jabri

Iyad Jabri is the current Chief Technical Officer at Matrix LMS. Iyad has over 25 years of experience in the software engineering field.

Jabri first began their career as a software engineer intern at The University of Texas at Arlington from April 1990 to March 1992. Iyad then became a lead software engineer at International Business Software from January 1985 to June 1988. After that, they became technical lead at Texas Instruments from March 1992 to March 1994.

In 1994, Jabri joined NORTEL as a senior software engineer. There, they built SiteTracker, a Smalltalk application for tracking and provisioning the company’s install base for both the DMS-100 and Wireless switches. Iyad successfully developed and deployed the application, which gave the company a great insight on the install base with the ability to slice and dice the data to make multiple operational decision including upgrades, software updates and provisioning, divestment of products and add-one.

After their work on SiteTracker, Jabri joined the Wireless team to build next generation Smalltalk based platform for managing the full lifecycle of new wireless switch products. Iyad remained with NORTEL until August 1996 when they became the chief architect at ObjectSpace, Inc.

Jabri stayed with ObjectSpace until January 1999 when they became the lead software engineer at Intelliun Corporation. Iyad remained in that position until they were appointed as the current CTO of Matrix LMS.

Iyad Jabri received a B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
