Position Overview: 

As a Technical Project Manager (SaaS) at CYPHER Learning, you will combine technical expertise and project management skills, playing a pivotal role in coordinating our product roadmap and approved client facing projects. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, your primary responsibilities will be to create project plans, provide project updates and timely reporting, identify roadblocks, and propose solutions for moving the project forward.  

In this role, you will work closely with product management stakeholders, UI/UX design, Solution Architects, Support and Software Engineers from around the world. Together, your goal will be to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features and software updates to meet the critical needs of our clients. This is a new position essential for enhancing our operational efficiency and achieving our strategic objectives and key results. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop comprehensive project plans in Jira for all product roadmap initiatives that outline project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines,

• Engage with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Work closely with product management stakeholders to track the activities designed to bolster our platform’s scalability, security, and high-performance status.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and manage tasks in projects that align with our functional /company objectives and key results.

• Maintain up-to-date status reports and construct dashboards for real-time metrics; identify roadblocks and escalate to executive stakeholders.

• Conduct regular project reviews to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

• Facilitate communication between QA, engineers, sales stakeholders, and clients to ensure project timelines and budgets meet expectations.

• Conduct project evaluations to assess the achievement of project goals, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify lessons learned.

• Implement and refine project management processes to increase efficiency. Use feedback and data to continually improve project outcomes.

• Align closely with Principal Engineers to ensure seamless integration of project adjustments and dynamic pivoting in response to business strategy shifts.

• Support the implementation of a new capacity management framework and update statistics that feed into quarterly OKRs defined by the Executive Team.

• Work with Principal Engineers and Product Managers to coordinate the product release schedule for features and major bug fixes.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 5 years experience managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and familiarity with tools like Jira.
• Ability to work closely with engineers and understand technical requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide teams through project phases.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders, including engineers, executives, and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate and resolve complex project challenges.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Flexibility to work across time zones with collaborators based in EU and APAC.
