Job Description
To strengthen the engineering and innovation teams and to support the growth of the company, we are looking for a Senior Satcom/Network Engineer based in Toulouse to contribute to CYSEC’s effort in driving cybersecurity innovation for satellite communication.
As a Senior Satcom/Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of our newest product, ARCA SATCOM, CYSEC’s secure Performance Enhancing Proxy with built-in-encryption and authentication. It implements hardware & TLS-based cryptography while doubling the link throughput compared to a standard VPN.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to our VP Engineering and in close collaboration with the different CYSEC teams, particularly the Innovation team, your main missions will be:
Lead the design and development of the existing ARCA SATCOM solution as part of our Engineering team.
Understand the business requirements and translate them into a reliable and resilient solution.
Interact with Product & Innovation teams in terms of software architecture decisions.
Lead the testing procedures; from elaborating the test plans, writing and executing the tests to evaluating the results.
Participate in the product release process and customer support.
Maintain the highest level of code quality standards and help improve the company's best practices.
Work within an agile working environment to build and deliver our solution.
Qualifications
You are a senior satcom/network engineer looking to boost your career in a fast-paced, innovation-driven company with a highly skilled, young and dynamic team. You are hands-on, curious and eager to learn, and you enjoy taking on new challenges on a daily basis.

Education: Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Telecom, Computer Science, Network or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite communication systems, Performance Enhancing Proxies (PEP), network design, and software development for routers and satellite modems.
Satellite Communication Expertise: Strong understanding of satellite communication principles, protocols, standards and system architectures, such as TCP/IP, UDP, QUIC and DVB-S2, with experience in both GEO and LEO constellations.
Network Design: Proficiency in designing network topologies, including routing protocols, network resilience, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
Software Development: Extensive experience in software development using programming languages such as C/C++, Go, or Rust, with a focus on embedded systems and network management software.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems.
Team Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Documentation and Reporting: Proficient in preparing technical documentation, system specifications, and progress reports.
Agile: Experience working in an agile working environment is preferred.
Language: Fluent in English, French and other languages are a plus.
