Laurent Spiess

Laurent Spiess has an extensive work experience in business development and sales roles in the life sciences industry. Laurent is currently the Senior Director and Head of Business Development for Europe at Cytel since September 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Consultant at Genestack from September 2018 to January 2019. From June 2015 to May 2018, Laurent was an Executive Account Manager at Illumina. Laurent also served as the Director of Business Development for Life Sciences in Europe at Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) from June 2014 to May 2015. Before that, they held the position of VP Business Development for Adaptive Clinical Trials at Aptiv Solutions from June 2012 to May 2014. Laurent has a long history with Cytel, where they worked as the General Manager for Europe from January 2010 to July 2012 and as the Business Development Director from June 2005 to March 2010. Laurent started their career in the industry as a Regional Sales Director at Accelrys from January 1997 to March 2003.

Laurent Spiess earned a PhD in Quantum Physics from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1989 to 1992.
