Brendan McCarthy, MBA, has extensive experience in information security and risk management. In their current role as the Principal Risk and Governance Leader, Infosec at Cytiva, they are responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing network security policies and incident response systems. Brendan also improves security through vendor assessments and contract negotiations, policy creation, and compliance monitoring. In their previous role as the Senior Information Systems Security Manager at MAXIMUS, Brendan managed a team of 43 information security professionals across multiple locations. Brendan has also held positions in IT engineering services, project management, and management consulting. Additionally, Brendan is an active member of InfraGard, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting communication and collaboration between the private and public sectors in critical infrastructure protection. Outside of their professional career, Brendan has been involved in leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America.

Brendan McCarthy, MBA, holds an MBA in Business from the University of Miami, which they obtained from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a BBA in Business from the same university, completing it from 1998 to 2002. In 2012 to 2015, Brendan pursued network engineering and earned a CCNA from the New Horizons Computer Learning Center. Additionally, they hold a high school diploma from Western High School, which they acquired from 1994 to 1998. Brendan also obtained various certifications, including a CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in 2012 and certifications in internet security, internet technology fundamentals, and project management from Brainbench.com in the same year.
