Shivani Acharya

Shivani Acharya is a Biomedical Engineer currently employed at Cytocybernetics since May 2023. Previously, Shivani contributed as a Student Researcher and Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo from April 2022 to May 2023, focusing on the development of a 3D printed Ankle Foot Orthosis to enhance gait in patients with foot drop, employing Fusion 360 for design and finite element analysis. Prior experience includes a Data Research Intern role at iSchoolConnect and a position as a Biomedical Engineer at Innowave Health Services, where Shivani managed diagnostic laboratories to enhance their efficiency. Additionally, work as a Research Assistant at West Pomeranian University of Technology involved studying cardiac tissue proteins, alongside a role as Joint Secretary for the Biomedical Engineering Society of India. Shivani holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Technology in the same field from Manipal Institute of Technology.
