Saswata Sankar Sarkar

Saswata Sankar Sarkar, Ph.D., is a research scientist specializing in discovery biology at Cytokinetics since October 2019, focusing on developing small molecules for treating muscle diseases like heart failure. Prior to this position, Saswata worked at Stanford University from November 2013 to October 2019 as a Basic Life Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. James A. Spudich's lab, where collaboration with Myokardia Inc. involved assessing the effects of mavacamten on human β-cardiac myosin.
