Taylor Barras

Taylor Barras has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. They began their career as a Support Analyst/Junior Consultant at Esprida Corporation in 2012, where they worked on proof of concepts for Esprida products and designed the backend of the customer portal. They also installed and configured Splunk during this time. In 2014, they briefly served as a Junior System Administrator at the same company, administering and deploying software to RHEL servers and supporting various systems and users.

In 2012, Taylor also worked as a Computer Lab Assistant at Seneca College, assisting students in computer labs.

Taylor joined Eyereturn Marketing in 2016 as a Junior System Administrator, supporting 24/7 HA applications and public-facing services as part of the infrastructure team. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an Intermediate DevOps Engineer, assisting the Senior DevOps Engineer in modifying and upgrading CI/CD processes and deploying near server-less applications into Nomad and Google Cloud environments.

Currently, Taylor works at d1g1t Inc. since 2019. They initially joined as a System Operations Engineer and later grew into the role of Senior System Operations Engineer. Further details about the responsibilities and end dates of their current role are not provided.

Taylor Barras attended Seneca College from 2011 to 2014, where they earned an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. From 2014 to 2017, Taylor Barras attended two institutions simultaneously. They pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Software Engineering Technology from McMaster University and also obtained a Certificate in Business Management from Mohawk College.
