Zakir Khan

Zakir Khan, PhD CEng MIMechE, is a Senior R&D Engineer at Daido Metal Company Ltd, focusing on high-performance materials and cutting-edge technologies for automotive and renewable energy applications since March 2020. Previous roles include Post Doctoral Researcher and Post Graduate Researcher at Bournemouth University, where Zakir contributed to advancements in nano-materials, energy storage, and fatigue analyses. Earlier experience includes leading the development of geothermal heat pump systems at the National Electronic Complex of Pakistan and a traineeship at Daud Sons Industries. Zakir holds a PhD in Energy Storage Materials, an MS in Internal Combustion Engine from NUST, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar.
