J. Chandra Segaran

J. Chandra Segaran has a diverse work experience in various HR, legal, and compliance roles. J. Chandra started their career in 1992 as an Admin. Manager at Murugavell Arumugam & Co. From 2000 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Consultant at City Business & Employment Consultancy, providing consultancy services on industrial/employee relations, labor law management, and employment disputes. In 2010, they joined OYL Manufacturing Sdn Bhd as an Industrial Relations Manager. J. Chandra then moved to Hong Leong Group in 2012 and served as the Head of Industrial Relations, providing industrial relations and employment law advice to various business units within the Group. In 2014, they joined Citi as a VP, Industrial Relations & HR Compliance, supporting the management on industrial relations and employment law issues, as well as compliance on ethics-related matters. In 2016, they returned to Hong Leong Group as the Head of HR, Compliance & Industrial Relations. Finally, in 2017, they joined Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd as the Head of HR Operations, Legal & Compliance for the Daikin Group.

J. Chandra Segaran holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Employment Law & Industrial Relations from the University of Malaya. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Industrial Relations from the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), although the exact dates of obtaining the diploma are not specified.
