Ariel Silahian has a diverse work experience in the financial and technology industries. Ariel co-founded VisualHFT in 2023 and has experience in designing and implementing high-performance trading systems as the Director of Electronic Trading at Quant Developers. Ariel has also worked as a Lead Application Engineer at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets, a Senior Software Engineer at Jefferies, and a Technical Co-founder & CTO/Lead Tech at Coinsnobs, Inc. Ariel has also held roles as the US Head/Technical Lead at Pulsar, the Lead Developer - Chief Technology Officer at Shefa Capital, and the Lead Quant Developer at an undisclosed CTA firm. Ariel has also worked as an independent quant consultant, providing services to independent traders and small investment institutions. Ariel has expertise in coding trading strategies, backtesting systems, and developing trading platforms. Ariel has a strong focus on building low-latency, high-frequency trading platforms and custom order management systems.

Ariel Silahian completed their degree in Computer Science - Software Engineer at Universidad de Belgrano from 1998 to 2003. Before that, they pursued a degree in Electronics & Telecommunications at Instituto Luis A. Huergo from 1987 to 1993. Their field of study throughout their education focused on Computer Software Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, and Communications.
