Carol Phelan

Carol Phelan is the Chief Financial Officer at Dalata Hotel. Prior to this role, Carol served as Associate Director at Ion Equity from 2007 to 2014. In this role, Carol was responsible for deal origination, evaluation, negotiation and execution for a variety of complex investment opportunities across multiple sectors. Additionally, Carol led post-acquisition assessment and re-organization efforts, as well as monitored investee performance and prepared reports for internal and external stakeholders. In one investee company, Carol even took on an interim senior executive role, leading the recruitment of a new CEO and Finance Director while also overhauling the company's financial analysis output. Carol's experience and drive for success has served their well in their current role at Dalata Hotel.

Carol Phelan has a Board Ready Programme from Deloitte & 30% Club Ireland, a Women Leaders Programme from INSEAD, and a Master in Accounting from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Carol also has a Bachelor of Business Studies with French from University of Limerick and an Erasmus Programme from EM Normandie Business School.
