Alex Loomis joined the Dallas Cowboys Scouting Department in July 2009 as the club's pro scouting intern. He became the pro scouting assistant leading up to the 2011 season, a pro scout in 2012 and the pro scouting coordinator in 2015. He was named director of pro scouting in 2017 where he is in charge of evaluating players and rosters from the NFL and other professional football teams. Loomis is also responsible for advance scouting, free agency preparation and tracking player movements within the league. He will continue in his role assisting with the NFL Combine and assisting in the team's draft preparations.
