Sean Donohue

Chief Executive Officer at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Sean Donohue serves as Chief Executive Officer of Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport, the fourth-busiest airport in the world. In his role as CEO, Mr. Donohue is responsible for the management, operation and future strategy and development of the Airport.

As the chief executive of DFW Airport, Mr. Donohue manages an organization with 1800 employees and an annual operating budget of $800 million, as well as a $3 billion capital improvement program. DFW Airport produces more than $37 billion in annual economic impact for the Dallas Fort Worth region, and hosts 64 million customers each year.

In its 41-year existence, DFW Airport has grown into one of the world’s preeminent global superhubs, consistently ranking among the best large airports for customer service. DFW connects the North Texas region with nonstop service to more than 200 destinations on five continents.

Mr. Donohue joined DFW International Airport in October of 2013, following a 28-year career in the airline industry.

Prior to his arrival at DFW, Mr. Donohue served for three years as the Chief Operating Officer for Virgin Australia Airlines, where he led day-to-day operations for Australia’s second largest air carrier. Prior to that, Mr. Donohue served for 25 years with United Airlines in a variety of executive roles that included operations, sales and commercial startups.

Mr. Donohue graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Economics, and is a native of Massachusetts.

Mr. Donohue is married and has five children.
