Vinton (Vinnie) Bacon has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2003 as a Technical Support Director at Kontiki/VeriSign. In 2009, they became a Director of Customer Support at ServiceMax and a Board Member at the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board. From 2012 to 2013, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Cutting Edge Capital and also worked as an Independent Consultant at Bacon Creative Computing. In 2013, they became a Salesforce Developer at Save the Bay, and in 2016 they took on a similar role at Sungevity. In 2017, they became a Salesforce Developer at KQED, and in 2019 they were appointed Director of Salesforce Operations at Dama Financial. Additionally, from 2011 to 2020, they were a City Councilmember and Vice-Chair of the Economic Development Advisory Commission at the City of Fremont.

Vinton (Vinnie) Bacon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1985. In 1990, they earned a Master of City Planning degree and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Bacon also obtained a Salesforce Developer certification from Salesforce in August 2014.
