Martin Kjaer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Martin began their career in 1988 at DIA, working on the RACE project. Martin then joined Danfoss in 1989 as a Production Engineer. In 1995, they transitioned to Danfoss Drives A/S as a Strategic Purchaser, and in 1999, they took on the role of Strategic Procurement at Danfoss.
From 2001 to 2011, Martin worked at Sauer-Danfoss, where they held various roles in Strategic Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Management. During their time at Sauer-Danfoss, they improved supplier consolidation and managed strategic purchases.
In 2011, Martin joined Danfoss IT's SRM department as a Contract Manager. Martin'sresponsibilities included contract negotiations, vendor management, and consolidating software licenses into global agreements.
Continuing their career in strategic purchasing, Martin joined Focon Electronic Systems ApS in 2014 as a Technical Sourcing specialist. Here, they focused on implementing obsolescence management tools and sourcing hard-to-find components for PIS systems.
In 2015, Martin moved to DAMM Cellular Systems as a Strategic Purchaser. Martin sourced components, built a strategic base of suppliers, and optimized products in collaboration with the development department. Martin also acted as a gatekeeper for commercial areas with high technical impact.
In 2017, Martin worked at AGRAMKOW Fluid Systems A/S as a Strategic Purchaser, and most recently, they returned to DAMM Cellular Systems in 2019, taking on the role of Strategic Purchaser/SQE.
Throughout their career, Martin has demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and optimizing products for manufacturing.
Martin Kjaer obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark between 1985 and 1988. Following this, they pursued a Diploma in General Sales, Merchandising, and Related Marketing Operations from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, completing their studies from 1990 to 1994.
