Carl Novina serves as an Associate Professor at both Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School since 2004 and is an Associate Member at the Broad Institute since 2006. Novina is the founder of Microbial Machines, which focuses on engineering bacteria for gastrointestinal disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as Dynamic Cell Therapies, Inc., which specializes in controllable CAR T cells for cancer immunotherapy. Novina has a robust academic background with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and a PhD in Immunology from Tufts University School of Medicine. Additional training includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
