Gaia Taig

Gaia Taig is currently a Peer Advisor and Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on cellular immortalization projects related to breast cancer research. Additionally, Gaia serves as a General Chemistry Peer Leader, facilitating problem-solving sessions for students, and a Teaching Assistant for Cellular and Molecular Biology, providing academic support and resource guidance. In conjunction with academic roles, Gaia works as a Certified Nursing Assistant at CareOne, assisting residents with daily activities and monitoring health metrics. Experience as a Veterinary Assistant at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital includes supporting veterinarians in critical care settings. Previous experience includes a position as a Retail Salesperson at American Eagle Outfitters and a Clinic Receptionist at University Health Services UMass Amherst. Gaia is pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Psychology on the Neuroscience Track at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
