Tim Johnson

Tim Johnson is a seasoned software consultant with a diverse background in embedded systems and software development. Currently serving at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since July 2025, Tim focuses on FDA drug dosing guidelines and process control algorithms. Prior roles include Embedded Software Engineer V at Cherish, where Tim leveraged expertise in NXP ARM and x86 AOSP to enhance Android experiences on Qualcomm platforms, and Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer at WatchGuard Technologies, concentrating on Linux support for various ARM and Intel x86 platforms. Additional experience includes work with TransAct® Technologies on AOSP software ports, a Vice President position at Quaternion Worlds Inc. involving signal processing and neural network research, and a consulting project at Google developing algorithms for activity and gesture detection. Tim holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
