Murali Chiravuri

Murali Chiravuri serves as the President of the Medical Staff at Bridgeport Hospital since 2022, following a role as Vice President of the Medical Staff from 2019 to 2021. Chiravuri holds multiple positions as an Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist at Cardiac Specialists, Danbury Hospital, Milford Hospital, and Bridgeport Hospital/Yale New Haven Health since July 2009. Prior experience includes work in Electrophysiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Chiravuri completed fellowships in Electrophysiology and Cardiology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital, as well as a residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Chiravuri also earned an MD and PhD in Immunology from Tufts University School of Medicine. Notably, Chiravuri contributed to cardiac stem cell research recognized by the American Heart Association as one of the Top Ten Advances in 2009 in Heart Disease and Stroke.
