Kahina Haynes

Kahina Haynes serves as the Executive Director at the Dance Institute of Washington since January 2016, overseeing operations and programming. In addition, Kahina was appointed to The President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition from March 2023 to March 2025. Previously, Kahina worked as a Grants Management Specialist for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the COVID-19 pandemic and held various roles including Strategic Consultant at The World Bank focusing on diaspora relations, Arts Education Programs Management Consultant at Variations Inc., Fulbright Scholar at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, and Social Policy Analyst at the United Nations. Kahina holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford.
