Mark Rowan is the Manager of Finance & Administration at Dance Theatre of Harlem. Mark has held this position since December 2015, and their responsibilities include negotiating and maintaining contracts, coordinating staff meetings and cross-departmental communication, personnel contracting, on-boarding, and insurance. Mark also develops internal systems and is responsible for all financial oversight, including budgeting, job cost analysis, profit and loss reporting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, cash projections, reconciliations, and year-end tax preparation.

Before joining Dance Theatre of Harlem, Mark was the Director of Finance and Operations at Design Contact Inc/DC Connect Inc from May 2009 to September 2015. In this role, they managed all operational elements of an entertainment and event design company, reported directly to the CEO, and ensured the successful execution of multiple concurrent live programs, meetings, presentations, and events.

Prior to their role at Design Contact Inc/DC Connect Inc, Mark was the Director of Operations / Controller at NYC Group Tours from September 2008 to April 2010. In this role, they were responsible for theatre, event, exhibit, and project management.

Mark has been working in finance and administration for over 15 years. Mark began their career as an independent contractor in February 2003 and has since gained a wealth of experience in the field. Mark is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who is dedicated to their work.

They are on a team with Derrick McBride - Manager of Booking & Touring Productions, Hero Doucas - Human Resources Manager, and Andrea Lujan - Facilities Manager. Mark Rowan reports to Melinda Bloom, Interim General Manager & Tour Manager.
