Nathan Koop

Nathan Koop is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in managing teams and driving technical initiatives. As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at D2L since June 2022, Nathan oversees iterations, defects, and backlog while preparing strategic roadmaps and leading large cross-team projects, notably the DeFRA initiative, which significantly reduced technical debt and improved user experience. Previously, as an Engineering Manager at Bold Commerce, Nathan ensured the reliable delivery of the Checkout product, fostered team development through mentorship, and facilitated communication across departments. Nathan's career began as a Developer at Core49 software design & development, inc., where custom software solutions were provided for diverse clients. Nathan holds a degree in Computer Analyst Programmer from RRC Polytech.
