Kyori Karina Fujii Thomsen

Kyori Karina Fujii Thomsen is an experienced social worker and project officer with a strong background in humanitarian development and support for vulnerable populations. Currently serving as a Social Coordinator at the Danish Red Cross since July 2014, Kyori has previously held roles such as Project Officer at Reden International, focusing on harm reduction for women in prostitution and potential trafficking victims, and Deputy Chairperson of AfriCAN, which developed educational opportunities for youth in Ghana. Additional experience includes volunteering as a counsellor for refugees and immigrants with the Danish Refugee Council and interning with Hagar and the Centre for Women & Development on anti-human trafficking initiatives. Education includes a Master's degree in International Development Studies & Cultural Encounters from Roskilde University and a Bachelor's degree in International Social Work from Metropolitan University College, emphasizing migration processes and human trafficking.
