Ashwin Sabapathy

Director, Data Science at Danlaw

Ashwin Sabapathy has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. In 2000, they began their career as a Physical and Environmental Planner at the Centre for Symbiosis of Technology, Environment, and Management. Ashwin then worked as a Research Associate at The Energy and Resources Institute from 2001 to 2007. In 2005, they became a Graduate Degree Fellow at the East-West Center (EWC).

In 2007, Ashwin worked as a Statistical Consultant at Marketics for a short period of time. Ashwin then joined Enzen in 2009 as a Practice Manager, where they worked until 2014.

From 2014 to 2018, they served as the Director of Data Science at Azuga, Inc. In 2018, they moved to Danlaw, Inc., where they currently hold the position of Director of Data Science.

Ashwin Sabapathy has an extensive education history. In 1992, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from RV College of Engineering at Bangalore University. Following this, from 1998 to 2000, Ashwin pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi. Continuing their academic journey, they attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Urban and Regional Planning from 2005 to 2009. Later, in 2013, Ashwin became a Visiting Scholar in the Fulbright-Nehru Environmental Leadership Program at the East-West Center. In 2017, they participated in the Chevening Rolls-Royce Science, Innovation, and Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
