Mariam Elgammal

Mariam ElGammal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sourcing and procurement. Currently serving as Global Category Sourcing Senior Manager for both Paper Based Packaging and Specialized Ingredients at Danone since April 2016, Mariam manages a significant spend of 200 million Euros with a worldwide scope. Previous roles at Danone include Head of Procurement for Raw & Packaging Materials as well as Regional Procurement Category Manager for Plastic Packaging, overseeing 65 million Euros in spend across Africa and the Middle East. Additionally, Mariam contributed to the entry strategy for Plastic Bank in Egypt as a consultant in 2020, and worked at MARS Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, focusing on indirect spend and logistics. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from The American University in Cairo, complemented by exchange and summer programs at SDA Bocconi and UCLA.
