Casper Klynge

Casper Klynge has a diverse work experience. Casper currently holds the role of SVP at Dansk Erhverv, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Future Security & Defense Council at GLOBSEC and a Member of the Council at the European Council on Foreign Relations, both starting in June 2021. Casper also served as a Member of the Governments Digitilization Council for the Government of Denmark, starting in November 2022. Furthermore, they have held positions such as a Member of the Board of Advisors at BLUETOWN since November 2020, an External Examiner at the Institute of Political Science at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen since January 2017, and an Executive Board Member at DIGITALEUROPE from May 2020 to December 2022. Casper served as Vice President • European Government Affairs at Microsoft from March 2020 to December 2022. In addition, they held various roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark including Tech Ambassador from August 2017 to March 2020, Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and ASEAN from July 2014 to September 2017, Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus from August 2013 to July 2014, Deputy Director of the Department for Africa from August 2012 to July 2013, and Deputy Director of Stabilization, Fragile States, and Afghanistan from September 2011 to September 2012. Casper was also recognized as Among The World's 100 Most Influential People in Digital Government in 2018 by Apolitical.

Casper Klynge attended Stanford University in 2018 and earned a degree in Executive Education, focusing on The Innovative Technology Leader. Casper completed their MA in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 1996 and 2002. Prior to that, they studied Social Science with a focus on Political Science at Roskilde University from 1994 to 1996. Casper Klynge completed their secondary education at Frederiksberg Gymnasium between 1989 and 1992, earning a Studentereksamen degree with a specialization in Mathematics.
