Daniyal Ali

Daniyal Ali has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Daniyal started their career at Shabbir Tiles & Ceramics Limited, where they worked in the Treasury Department, developing SOPs and streamlining internal processes. Daniyal then moved on to Habib Metropolitan Bank, where they worked in the Compliance Department, structuring the department and defining SOPs, reviewing non-compliant and anti-money laundering cases, and coordinating with regulatory bodies and clients.

Daniyal then joined RB as part of the Commercial Finance team, specializing in the Health section. Here, they created channel-wise Profit and Loss Statement models, identified profitable channels, and implemented successful product mixes. Daniyal also conducted SKU rationalization to determine which products to discontinue and improve performance.

After RB, Daniyal worked at Stage Nomad Productions as the Director of Operations & Production, overseeing the company's operations for two years. Daniyal then joined Daraz as a Management Trainee, with different roles in the areas of Product, Private Traffic, and Transport Operations. In these roles, they worked on various projects such as integrating new features on the platform, launching and automating Google Shopping ads, and forecasting and allocating volumes for operational campaigns.

Currently, Daniyal is working at Daraz as the Regional Manager - Advertising. Daniyal'smain responsibilities include leading the development of a search monetization product, managing its mass launch and introducing new features, and developing frameworks and SOPs for the new department.

Daniyal Ali attended Habib Public School from 2011 to 2013, where they completed their GCE Ordinary Level (O-Level) with a field of study in Accounting and Business/Management. Daniyal then attended Cordoba School from 2013 to 2015, obtaining their GCE Advanced Level (A-Level) with a field of study in Accounting, Economics & Maths. From 2015 to 2019, Daniyal studied at the Institute of Business Administration, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance. In addition, they obtained the CFA Level 1 certification from the CFA Institute in January 2019.
