Zahid Hasan

Zahid Hasan has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, primarily focusing on Android application development. Zahid started their career as an intern at Aciano Technologies in 2015, where they worked on the development of a Ticket Management System using technologies such as ASP.NET, jQuery, CSS, and HTML5.

In 2015, Zahid also completed a summer internship at ARPATECH (Pvt) Ltd, where they participated in various tasks related to software development, project management, quality assurance, and business development, and was part of the winning team.

Moving forward, Zahid joined ARPATECH (Pvt) Ltd as a Software Engineer in 2016, where they specialized in Android application development. During their tenure, they worked on the development and maintenance of the Rava project.

In 2017, Zahid joined the Jumia Porto Tech Center as a Software Engineer on behalf of Daraz. Zahid played a key role in migrating the development of the Daraz Android App from Porto, Portugal to Daraz Headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan. Zahid worked closely with a professional team in Porto, gaining valuable knowledge and ensuring a smooth migration without impacting the app's 1.8 million active users.

In 2018, Zahid joined Daraz as a Senior Android Developer, responsible for the development and maintenance of the Daraz Android application. Zahid also managed the release of the app on Google Play for multiple countries and collaborated with engineers from Alibaba Group and Lazada.

Currently, Zahid holds the position of Lead Software Engineer (Android) at Daraz, where they continue to tackle technological challenges related to the popular e-commerce platform. Zahid is primarily focused on developing the Daraz Android App for buyers.

Zahid Hasan began their education in 2010 at Adamjee Govt. Science College, where they obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate in Pre-Engineering in 2011. Zahid then attended NED University of Engineering and Technology from 2012 to 2015, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering. In 2019, Zahid enrolled in the Institute of Business Administration and is expected to graduate in 2022 with a Master of Business Administration degree. In addition to their formal education, Zahid obtained a certification in Google Project Management through Coursera in March 2023. Zahid also holds a certification in ASP.NET MVC, although the institution and the time of obtaining this certification are not specified.
