Abeer Khan

Abeer Khan has a diverse work experience starting from an internship at Active Capital IT in 2014. Abeer then worked as a Software Developer at 10Pearls, focusing on web application development using AngularJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, and MySQL. Abeer then joined Afiniti.com as an Analyst Software Engineer (Artificial Intelligence), where they analyzed patterns and used data mining methods to create statistical models for optimizing call centers. Abeer deployed AI models that increased sales for clients such as Caesars Palace and ClearLink. In 2018, Abeer joined Daraz as a Senior Growth Associate, leading strategic growth hacking projects and optimizing CRM. Abeer later became a Data Scientist at Daraz, where they analyzed platform data and optimized e-commerce metrics using predictive analytics and machine learning techniques. Abeer eventually took on the role of Data Science Lead at Daraz, focusing on in-app personalization, collaboration with Alibaba, and expanding the team. Currently, they are the Head of Data Science at Daraz, overseeing the Data Science team's activities and creating new capabilities for the business, such as the In App Search Engine and Platform Recommender System.

Abeer Khan completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology from 2011 to 2015. Abeer is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Institute of Business Administration, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Python Data Science Toolbox (Part 1) Course, Intermediate Python for Data Science Course, and Intro to Python for Data Science Course from DataCamp in 2018.
