Jorge Miranda

Jorge Miranda has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jorge started their career as a Web Developer at Capsula Studio in 2008. In 2009, they worked as an External Consultant at WeDo Technologies and as a Software Engineer at PDM&FC. In 2012, they joined Rocket Internet SE as a Lead Product Owner and held that position until 2017. During their time at Rocket Internet, they played a crucial role in product development and ownership. In 2017, Jorge joined Daraz as the Chief Product Officer, where they directed a multinational team and was responsible for product innovation, payments, order management, and user experience. After serving as the Chief Product Officer for 5 years, Jorge was promoted to the position of Chief Data Officer in 2019. As the Chief Data Officer, they led a team of 150+ professionals and was responsible for implementing a data-driven decision-making culture within the organization. Jorge achieved significant success in enhancing customer engagement, conversion rates, and retention through the implementation of effective AI strategies. Jorge Miranda obtained a Licentiate degree in Information Technology from Universidade do Minho in 2007. Later, in 2008, they acquired a Master's degree in Data Modeling/Warehousing from the same university.
