Emma Elizabeth Hooper

Emma Elizabeth Hooper has held various positions in their work experience. Most recently, they served as a Technology Operations Manager at Dare, an energy tech company focused on making renewables viable at scale. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at GROWTHCAP Impact Advisory and as a Consultant/Advisor at FarmSmart, where they provided consultancy and advisory services related to farming practices. Emma Elizabeth also worked as a Campaigns Manager at River Action UK, a Communications Consultant at Afriwise, a Consultant at Africa Risk Consulting (ARC), and a Strategy Consultant at the Murtala Muhammed Foundation. Additionally, they have held consultant roles at Halliday Finch Africa, Aequitas, and Afrocet Montgomery, where they focused on public relations, crisis management, strategy development, and business development in various industries.

Emma Elizabeth Hooper started their education at The King's School, Canterbury, where they attended from 1994 to 2006. Emma Elizabeth then went on to study at Millfield School in Somerset from 2006 to 2008.

After completing their secondary education, Emma pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Literature at the University of Nottingham from 2009 to 2012.

Emma Elizabeth continued their academic journey at SOAS University of London, where they earned a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from 2014 to 2016.

Presently, Emma is a PhD student at SOAS University of London, focusing their research on the trade in falsified pharmaceuticals in West Africa within the field of Development Studies. Emma Elizabeth began their PhD program in 2019 and is expected to complete it in 2023.
