Power Operations Associate at Dare

Nicky J. has extensive work experience in the energy industry. They began their career at RWE npower as a Commodity Hedging Analyst in March 2014 and worked there until August 2014. Following this, they joined S&P Global Platts as an Energy Analyst in September 2014 and stayed at the company until September 2017. Nicky then moved to Cheniere Energy, Inc. and worked as a Senior Energy Analyst from October 2017 to June 2019. After that, they joined National Grid Ventures, starting as a Senior Commercial Analyst in June 2019 and transitioning to become an Energy Trader in February 2021. In January 2022, Nicky was promoted to Senior Energy Trader before leaving the company in April 2022. Currently, they are working as a Power Operations Associate at Dare, starting in April 2022.

Nicky J.'s education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd, which was completed between 2009 and 2012. Following this, Nicky pursued a Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London, which was completed from 2014 to 2016.

Prior to these, Nicky obtained certification in FAST financial modeling from F1F9 in August 2016. Lastly, they completed a certification in European Gas and Power Trading Strategies, Risk Management, and Hedging from The Oxford Princeton Programme in June 2016.
