Karla Borella-Leon

Karla Borella-Leon has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various organizations. Karla currently works at Darigold as a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they had multiple roles at Seattle University, including being an Undergraduate Researcher from January 2022 to June 2023, a Research Assistant from June 2022 to September 2022, an Organic Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant from January 2022 to May 2022, a DEI Student Ambassador for the College of Science and Engineering from May 2021 to April 2022, and an Ambassador for Undergraduate Students from the College of Science and Engineering in October 2021. Before joining Seattle University, Karla worked at Costco Wholesale as a Merch Stocker, starting in June 2020 and leaving in June 2023, where they gained experience in the front end and was trained in cashier assisting, cashiering, and sales.

Karla Borella-Leon began their education at West Seattle High School, where they attended from 2015 to 2019. Karla then pursued higher education at Seattle University, where they are expected to graduate in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Karla has also obtained additional certifications, including the American Chemical Society Degree Certification from the American Chemical Society in May 2023 and the Responsible Conduct of Research - Physical Science certification from the CITI Program in November 2021.
