Kristi Kangas

Kristi Kangas has a strong background in the food industry, with a range of roles that showcase their expertise in operations and management. Kristi is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Darigold since May 2022. Prior to this, they were a Fluid Milk Board Member at the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) starting from March 2020.

From September 2019 to May 2022, Kristi held the position of President and COO at Readington Farms Inc. Before that, they worked at Land O'Lakes, Inc. as the Senior Director of Manufacturing - Dairy Foods from March 2017 to August 2019.

Kristi has also held roles at Land O'Lakes as the Director of Contract Manufacturing from October 2015 to March 2017. Prior to their tenure at Land O'Lakes, they worked at Cargill from August 2013 to October 2015 as a Facility Leader, from October 2011 to August 2013 as a Business Consultant, and from March 2008 to October 2011 as a Plant Manager. Kristi was also a Business Unit Manager at Kraft Foods from January 2007 to February 2008, and a Business Unit Leader at Frito Lay from April 2004 to December 2006.

Kristi began their career in the food industry as a Production Supervisor at Kraft Foods from 1998 to 2001 and as a Research Engineer from 1998 to 2001. Kristi also worked as a Research Engineer at Central Soya from January 1997 to August 1998.

Kristi Kangas completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Tri-State University between the years 1992 and 1996. Following that, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in the field of Managerial/Organizational Behavior & Strategy. This degree was achieved during the years 2000 and 2004.
