Ryan Chavez

Ryan Chavez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ryan is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Dark Horse Consulting Group Inc. Since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University, School of Law from August 2019.

From 2016 to 2019, Ryan held the position of Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Asterias Biotherapeutics. Ryan also served as the Executive Vice President of Finance and General Counsel from July 2016 to November 2016.

Before their time at Asterias Biotherapeutics, Ryan worked at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from August 2014 to July 2016. Ryan held the role of Vice President, General Counsel, Autoimmune, and Rare Diseases during this period. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director, General Counsel, Autoimmune, and Rare Diseases Business from August 2014 to August 2015.

Ryan's earlier experience includes roles at Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where they served as the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel, Director, Associate General Counsel, Director, Senior Corporate Counsel, and Senior Manager, Corporate Counsel from 2012 to 2014.

Before moving into the pharmaceutical industry, Ryan worked as a Corporate Attorney at both Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth from August 2012 to October 2012 and Rutan & Tucker, LLP from January 2010 to August 2012.

Additionally, Ryan has experience in the sales and finance sector, having worked as a Sales & Finance Manager at All-Met Recycling from January 2002 to June 2008.

Ryan began their professional career in 1998 at General Electric, where they participated in the Financial Management Program and served as a Corporate Auditor until January 2002.

Ryan Chavez pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they attended Chapman University Fowler School of Law from 2006 to 2009 and obtained their Juris Doctor degree with a specialization in Corporate Law.
