Alexander Abel

Alexander Abel, MS, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alexander currently serves as an Operations Excellence Lead at Dart Container since August 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Process Improvement Engineer at the same company from March 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Dart Container, Alexander worked at Johnson Matthey for a significant duration. Starting from October 2013, they held the position of Process Development Technician I and later progressed to Process Development Technician II until June 2015. During this time, their main responsibilities included assisting in the preparation of catalysts, collaborating with team members to develop procedure guidelines, accurately accounting for precious group metals, and communicating updates and findings with program sponsors and engineers.

In May 2016, Alexander was promoted to Quality Control Supervisor, where they reported to the Quality Control Superintendent. Alexander'sduties included ensuring compliance with environmental and health regulations, scheduling and supervising Quality Control personnel and equipment, and ensuring the quality of catalytic converters met customer requirements. After serving in this role for two years, they transitioned to the position of Lean Manufacturing Coordinator from June 2018 to June 2019. As a Lean Champion from June 2019 to June 2021, Alexander played a pivotal role in promoting lean practices within the organization.

With their extensive experience in lean manufacturing, quality control, process development, and operations excellence, Alexander brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at Dart Container.

Alexander Abel has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from Lehigh University College of Business, earned between 2020 and 2023. Before that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University between 2014 and 2017. Alexander completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Hobart and William Smith Colleges between 2009 and 2013, along with an Associate's Degree in Environmental Studies from the same institution during the same period. Alexander Abel also attended Great Valley High School, where they completed their high school education. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold two certifications - Level One Lean Certification from Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), obtained in 2019, and a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ - World Headquarters, obtained in 2018.
