Frank Hanshar is an experienced professional with a diverse background in software development and architecture. Frank began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Brock University from 2003 to 2005. Frank then pursued their M.Sc. in Computer Science at the Department of Computing and Information Science, University of Guelph, from 2005 to 2007.

Following this, Frank worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Sessional Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of Guelph, from 2005 to 2011. During their time there, they focused on probabilistic graphical models and multi-agent decision-making, publishing multiple conference and journal articles. Frank continued their studies at the same institution and completed their Ph.D. from 2007 to 2011. Their thesis involved developing algorithms for coordination and planning in a multi-agent environment.

In 2012, Frank joined Medicalis as a Software Developer, where they played a key role in designing and building next-generation software for radiology workflow. Frank led the design of a scalable radiology scheduling engine and worked as part of an Agile team on web-based healthcare solutions until 2017.

From 2017 to 2021, Frank worked at Siemens Healthineers, initially as a Software Developer and later as a Software Architect. In these roles, they were responsible for developing machine learning predictive models for radiology workflows, creating a radiology peer review module, and designing and building a next-generation web user interface.

Currently, Frank is working at DarwinAI as a Full Stack Architect, a position they assumed in 2021.
