Akash Shanbhag

Akash Shanbhag has worked in various roles across multiple companies since 2017. In 2017, they were a Project Intern at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), where they collaborated with the BGS team of ISRO to understand the requirements and carried out a risk assessment using SWOT analysis. Akash also performed an end-to-end analysis of the system and identified meaningful insights from the large data using SQL and Python (Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib). In 2018, they worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture, where they validated the website data of one of the world's largest O&G corporation using complex SQL queries. Akash also improved data quality and operational efficiency by 10% by generating business insights on Tableau and by assisting in making informed business decisions. In 2019, they worked as a Graduate Student Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder College of Engineering & Applied Science, where they worked on Leadership & Professional Skills. In 2020, they worked as a Graduate Student Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they worked on EMEN 4030 Project Management. Currently, they are working as a Consulting Team Lead and Associate Analytics Consultant at DAS42, where they are implementing and providing advice on data warehouse solutions, ETL pipelines, and business intelligence reporting tools. Akash is also guiding clients on optimizing their data environment to work most effectively and efficiently for them, as well as clarifying management objectives through data solutions.

Akash Shanbhag completed a Bachelor's of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from the Ramaiah Institute of Technology between 2013 and 2017. Akash then pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed in 2020.
