Janet Haven

Janet Haven has been involved in the tech industry since 1999, beginning their career as an Open Source Community Developer at Netbeans. In 2000, they took on the role of Managing Producer at Uproar/Flipside/Vivendi International. In 2004, they joined Open Society Foundations as an Associate Director of the Information Program. From 2016 to 2022, they held the positions of Executive Director and Director of Programs and Strategy at the Data & Society Research Institute. Janet is currently a Committee Member at the National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee (NAIAC).

Janet Haven has a Bachelor's Degree from Amherst College and a Master's Degree from the University of Virginia.
