Serena Oduro has held various positions in the fields of policy, technology, and ethics. Serena began their career in 2017 as a HuffPost Campus Editor-At-Large Program. In 2018, they were a Marketing Intern at the Whitney Museum of American Art. From 2019 to 2021, Oduro held various roles including Youth Supervisor at the City of Seattle, Humanity in Action Warsaw Fellow at Humanity in Action, Researcher in Social Media and Internet Ethics at Seattle University, Technology Equity Fellow at The Greenlining Institute, Affiliate at metaLAB (at) Harvard, AI Policy Collaborator at the Data Nutrition Project, and Off-Site Collaborator at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Currently, Oduro is a Senior Policy Analyst and Policy Research Analyst at the Data & Society Research Institute.

Serena Oduro began their educational journey at Jesuit High School from 2012 to 2016. Serena then attended Seattle University from 2016 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History Major, Business Administration, Chinese, Global African Studies, and Philosophy Minors. During their time at Seattle University, they also completed a Study Abroad program at the University of Sussex in 2017, focusing on Art History, Criticism and Conservation. In 2018, they attended the University of Ghana to study History. Additionally, in 2017, they obtained a certification from the Parsons School of Design - The New School in the Parsons x Teen Vogue program in Fashion Industry Essentials.
