Dr. Eugene Kolker

Dr. Eugene Kolker, also known as Gene, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Eugene is currently the Executive Vice President & Director of Customer Success Accelerator and AI & ML Center of Excellence at DataArt, a position they have held since 2020. In the same year, they became an ILO Fellow at ILO Institute, where they advise and leads business and R&D projects.

Prior to their current roles, Dr. Kolker served as the Chief Economist & Chief Data Officer at Fabuwood Corp., where they used data analytics, AI, and ML to improve forecasting and revenue growth. Dr. Eugene also played a crucial role in building data engineering infrastructure.

From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Kolker worked at IBM as the Vice President & Chief Data Officer and Director of Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. Dr. Eugene was responsible for implementing data and analytics strategies on a global scale.

Before their time at IBM, Dr. Kolker held various positions at Seattle Children's, including Chief Data & Analytics Officer and Chief Data Officer. In these roles, they used data and analytics to improve safety, clinical outcomes, and business operations.

Dr. Kolker also has experience in co-founding and leading companies. Dr. Eugene was the Co-Founder & President of 1EKARONI CSP and DELSA (Data Enabled Life Science Alliance) Global. Dr. Eugene has also been involved in advisory roles at Sync.MD/Vyrty Corp. and Stratos Genomics.

Furthermore, Dr. Kolker has a strong involvement in the academic and publishing sectors. Dr. Eugene co-founded and served as the Executive Editor of the Big Data journal at Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. Dr. Eugene is a member of their Editorial Board. Additionally, they served as CEO & President of DELSA Global and was a member of the Advisory Board at Stratos Genomics.

Throughout their career, Dr. Eugene Kolker has focused on leveraging data, analytics, AI, ML, biomedical informatics, and management to drive business growth, improve patient care, and contribute to the field of large-scale innovation.

Dr. Eugene Kolker (Gene) has a diverse education history. Dr. Eugene is currently an Adjunct Professor at New York University's Grossman School of Medicine, where they teach AI, Generative AI, and Data Science since 2023. Additionally, they also serve as an Adjunct Professor at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering since 2016, teaching AI Business Innovation and Advanced Analytics. Dr. Kolker has undergone executive training at NYU, IBM, MIT, and UW since 2007, specializing in Finance, Ops, Product, Security, Marketing, Sales, and PMO. Dr. Eugene holds an MBA from the University of Washington's Michael G. Foster School of Business, with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programs (1996-2000). Prior to that, they earned a PhD in Bioinformatics (Computational Biology) from the Weizmann Institute of Science and completed their BS and MS degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Universitatea de Stat din Moldova. Dr. Kolker has also obtained additional certifications in various topics such as Nano Tips for Peak Performance and Improving Your Judgment for Better Decision-Making from LinkedIn.
