Neil Smith

Neil Smith is Chief Technology Officer and responsible for driving Databook’s success in Machine Learning, Innovation and Technology Partnerships

Neil has 25 years of experience bridging business, technology and start-ups. Most recently, Neil worked at Google, dividing his time between the Research and Machine Intelligence group focused on NLP, and leading an enterprise NLP team in the Google incubator, Area 120. Between stints at various start-ups Neil was also Senior Director Business Development at Yahoo!, leading the business team that brought Yahoo!’s vision of Smart TV to the world, and was a technology evangelist in Netscape’s Professional Services group in the early days of the commercial Internet.

Neil holds an MBA from IMD and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from The University of Kent at Canterbury.
