Shuqing Zhao

Shuqing Zhao has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the semiconductor industry. They started their career in 2001 at Hughes Network Systems as a Member of Technical Staff. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Sr Consulting Engineer at Verisity, where they collaborated with IC design companies to implement advanced verification methodologies and tools.

In 2006, Shuqing joined Broadcom as a Sr Manager, IC Design Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for managing the design verification of multi-core mobile 3G/4G application processor SoCs and developing innovative methods using Jasper formal. They also managed a team for design verification and emulation of Ethernet controller and PHY chips.

Shuqing then transitioned to Apple in 2014, where they took on the role of Custom Silicon Management. From 2014 to 2018, they managed the design verification of wireless SoCs and later served as the Wireless SoC Design Verification Manager until 2019. During their time at Apple, they played a vital role in the development and verification of various wireless semiconductor products.

In 2019, Shuqing joined Facebook as a Sr ASIC Engineering Manager, where they led ASIC engineering projects and managed a team. After working at Facebook for three years, they moved to their current position as the Head of Silicon Engineering at DataPelago in 2022.

Shuqing Zhao completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Tianjin University, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Master's and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at UC Irvine from 1997 to 2001.
